Main water shut-off valve on a pipe at the side of a Houston home
Know where your main shut-off valve is before you need it.

While you wait

  • Water running: shut off the main valve, then turn off the water heater.
  • Gas smell: leave the house and call 911 from outside.
  • Sewage: stop using water, and keep people and pets away from it.

What helps when you call

A short description gets you a useful answer faster. Have these ready if you can:

  • Your city or ZIP, so we can confirm we cover the address
  • What you see, hear or smell, and when it started
  • Whether the water is shut off, and what the water meter is doing
  • The age of the water heater or the pipe, if the call is about either one
  • Whether you rent or own, because a rental may need the owner's approval

We look at the job, then give you a clear, upfront quote before work starts.

Where we go, and how we get there

We have no walk-in office, so there is no address to drive to. We come to you across Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Galveston and Brazoria counties. From Houston, that means I-10 toward Katy and Baytown, I-45 toward The Woodlands and Galveston, I-69 toward Sugar Land and Humble, and TX-288 toward Pearland. Our service areas page lists every community. If you are more than about 40 miles from downtown Houston, call first so we can confirm availability for your address.

When the phones are closed

We answer Sunday through Thursday from 7 AM to 8 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM. We are closed Saturday. If something happens while we are closed, use the steps above to protect the house, then call when we open. Our emergency plumbing page lists who to call in the meantime.
